The WAVE2010
Summer Swim and Dive Team
Summer Membership Required
The WAVE is Worthington's Summer League Swim and Dive Team. Kids ages 6-18 of all ability levels compete with other local swim teams . It's a great place for kids to start competitive swimming/diving yet competitive enough for the best swimmers. Strokes, turns and diving techniques as well as other aspects of competition are developed in an environment of fun and friendship. Our coaches balance individual achievement, team success and fun. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle to enroll. Your WAVE fee allows you to swim and/or dive in both the GCSL and COSA Leagues.
WAVE Kick off Meeting- For parents and kids. Wednesday, June 2, 6:00pm at the picnic shelter. Meet the coaches and find out all you need to know about the team and upcoming season. Also team suits will be available to try on and purchase.

Two Leagues to Meet Your Child's Needs:
GCSL (Greater Columbus Swim League): Our "varsity" team with a misture of experienced and novice swimmers. Meets are on Wednesday evenings and include both swimming and diving.
COSA (Central Ohio Swim Association): Is our developmental team that allows swimmers to get a more low key experience with competitive swimming (No competitive diving) to build up to the GCSL. Meets are held on Saturday mornings.
Coaches determine which league your child competes in. Some swimmwers will move up from COSA to the GCSL during the season, some may do a little of both. When you join the WAVE, it encompasses both leagues; we are all one team. Both the GCSL and COSA are summer recreational leagues that focus on FUN and SPORTSMANSHIP.
