Junior Lifeguard Camp

In order to register for the course, participants must be able to meet certain prerequisites. See the required pre-requisites below: 

1. Swim freestyle for 25 yards continuously. Swim breaststroke for 25 yards continuously. 

2. Complete the water competency sequence: 

3. Step into the water and fully submerge. 

   • Tread water for one minute.  

   • Rotate 360 degrees and orient to the exit. 

   • Swim freestyle or backstroke for 25 yards. 

   • Exit the pool without using a ladder or steps.
