Prerequisites for the Lifeguarding Course
1. Complete a swim/tread/swim sequence. Goggles are allowed for this event.
2. Complete a Timed Event. Participants will swim 20-yards, submerge 12 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object. Upon surfacing, the participant will swim on their back to the starting point. Goggles are not allowed for this event and the event must be completed in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
3. Participants must be 15-years-old by the last day of the course. Proof of age will be required on the first day of the class. If a birth certificate is used as proof of age, an ID with a photo will also be required.

*Five participants are required for each in-person lifeguarding class. Without this minimum, students will be refunded and prioritized for the next class.
